Citizenship Preparation
Tutors teach small groups of learners with a minimum of a high beginner English level. The course includes U.S. history and government, reading, writing, and interview skills.
One-on-one instruction is available for learners with specific needs. Learners must be legal permanent residents who are eligible to apply for U.S. Naturalization.
Changes on the U.S. citizenship test taking effect on October 20, 2025. The new test increases the number of civics questions from 10 to 20, raises the passing score to 12, and expands the question pool to 128. There are new topics about the Federalist Papers, the 10th Amendment, and figures like Alexander Hamilton. Applicants filing their N-400 before October 20 will use the current format, but those applying after must be ready for the updated version.
